All scheduled examinations have been postponed due to the prevailing disaster situation in the country, Examinations Commissioner General Mrs. Indika Liyanage announced today.
She made the statement at a special media briefing held to discuss the reopening of schools, the upcoming GCE Advanced Level examinations, and the conduct of other national examinations amid ongoing adverse weather conditions.
Mrs. Liyanage said the decision was taken in consideration of student safety and the challenges caused by floods, landslides, and transport disruptions. New examination dates will be announced once conditions improve and after consultation with relevant authorities, she added.
