Former Minister of State Diana Gamage appeared before the Colombo Magistrate’s Court today (August 1) and declared her innocence regarding charges filed by the Criminal Investigation Department under the Immigration and Emigration Act.
The Colombo Chief Magistrate, Thilina Gamage, read out the charges against Gamage, who is accused of obtaining foreign passports and residing in Sri Lanka without valid visas by providing false information. Diana Gamage, who is currently out on bail, was present in court as the seven charge sheets were read. The case has been scheduled for further hearing on October 24.
