The Department of Meteorology has forecasted that the rainy conditions in the southwestern part of the island will persist.
According to their announcement, the Western, Sabaragamuwa, and North-Western provinces, as well as Kandy, Nuwara Eliya, Galle, and Matara districts, will experience occasional rainfall.
In addition, Uva Province, along with Ampara and Batticaloa districts, may see rain or thundershowers in the evening or at night.
The announcement also warns of strong winds, with speeds ranging between 40-50 km/h, expected intermittently.
