All cases scheduled for today (2nd) at the Kandy Court Complex have been postponed to the 16th following the spread of false information regarding a bomb threat.
At around 10:00 AM, the police emergency unit received a phone call claiming that a bomb was planted within the court complex. Promptly responding, the police, alongside the Army and Special Task Force bomb disposal units, evacuated the premises and conducted a thorough search. No bomb was found.
A suspect has been arrested in connection with the false bomb threat, and further investigations are ongoing.
