Landslide in Ecuador Claims 6 Lives, 30 Missing


Latin American media reports indicate that six people have lost their lives in a landslide in Ecuador, a Latin American country. Over 30 people are missing, believed to be trapped beneath layers of mud and soil.

The landslide was triggered by continuous heavy rains, affecting the mountain town of BaƱos de Agua Santa. Rescue operations are ongoing, with efforts focused on removing mud, soil, and stones to reach those trapped. Backhoe machines are being utilized in the rescue operations.
