Sri Lanka Gains Easier Access to Tanzania with Visa List Removal

CNFadmin

After more than 20 years, Sri Lanka has been formally taken off Tanzania’s referral visa list. The Sri Lankan Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the High Commission in Kenya have been working hard to bring about this shift, which is a significant turning point in the two countries’ diplomatic ties.

Travelers from Sri Lanka to Tanzania had to go through a difficult and drawn-out referral visa process in the past. They can now apply online for normal visas, which streamlines the process and cuts down on waiting times.

The new policy has excited High Commissioner Kana Kananathan, who said that it will make travel to Tanzania for business, tourism, or other purposes more easier for Sri Lankans. This choice highlights Tanzania and Sri Lanka’s improved bilateral ties and mutual respect.

The High Commissioner expressed appreciation for the help received from the Tanzanian government and reaffirmed the two nations’ commitment to strengthening their collaboration. In addition, he urged Sri Lankans to seize this fresh chance while upholding the moral norms that contribute to the community’s favorable reputation overseas.
