One lane of the A9 road has been reopened after a temporary closure due to a fire that broke out in a restaurant in Akurana this morning.
The incident, which occurred on the Kandy-Jaffna A9 road, prompted authorities to close the road from Akurana town as a safety measure. Emergency responders, including police and fire fighting units, swiftly arrived at the scene and managed to control the blaze.
