The Department of Meteorology has issued a weather advisory indicating that occasional rain or thundershowers are anticipated in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, and North-Western provinces, as well as in the districts of Kandy, Nuwara Eliya, Galle, and Matara.
Heavy rainfall exceeding 75 mm is expected in some areas of the Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces, as well as in the Galle and Matara districts.
Additionally, there is a possibility of rain or thundershowers in the Eastern and Uva provinces during the evening or night.
Strong winds, ranging from 40-50 km/h, are expected on the western slopes of the central hills, and in the Northern, North-Central, and North-Western provinces, as well as in the Trincomalee, Hambantota, and Monaragala districts.
Residents are advised to take necessary precautions.
