The Saudi government has reported the tragic deaths of 550 Islamic pilgrims who participated in this year’s Hajj, citing extreme heat and stampedes as the primary causes. Among the deceased, 323 were Egyptians, with severe dehydration being a significant factor. According to Saudi authorities, many pilgrims were crushed and rendered unconscious amidst the intense heat while performing their religious duties.
