Cameron Green has revealed he manages a chronic kidney disease.
“I have been living with chronic kidney disease for as long as I can remember,” says Cameron, “so it’s just something that I kind of live with.”
He has been undergoing dialysis treatment for three hours every night for the past five years. He also receives regular infusions of erythropoietin (EPO) to make up for the loss of red blood cells caused by his condition, and undergoes regular appointments to monitor his progress.
“It’s something that I go through every single day,” he says, “so it’s just another part of my life that I’ve had to get used to.”
Cameron Green has chronic kidney disease.
There are five stages to it, with the fifth stage requiring a transplant or dialysis.
