Ranil Wickremesinghe’s team has strategically decided to refocus its campaign by cutting the number of scheduled public rallies from 92 to 84. Minister Harin Fernando reaffirmed the decision, emphasizing that it was designed to improve communication with important stakeholders and more efficiently distribute resources.
Minister Harin Fernando responded to MP Dayasiri Jayasekera’s prior accusations that Wickremesinghe’s political rallies were canceled because of insufficient public support on over thirty occasions. In response, Fernando made it clear that the campaign’s goal was to move its emphasis from rallies to one-on-one professional forums.
“By strategically reducing the number of public rallies from 92 to 84, we were able to concentrate more on targeted engagement with professionals and key groups,” Fernando shared on X (formerly Twitter). “This decision has led to a total of 200 focused engagements between Ranil Wickremesinghe and various sectors,” he added.
