The Cabinet has approved additional funding for youth development initiatives overseen by the National Youth Services Council. Minister of Sports and Youth Affairs, Mr. Harin Fernando’s proposal to support these programs has been endorsed, aiming to foster resilience, self-esteem, and purpose among young people.
The programs will equip them with essential skills to navigate life’s challenges and seize opportunities. Planned initiatives include nurturing a million young entrepreneurs, providing guidance on national and global job markets, organizing regional youth camps, and hosting a national youth conference.
