Upon arriving at Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) from Dubai, the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) arrested a 32-year-old suspect who was connected to a massive financial scam. The person, who is from Kandy, is charged with embezzling more than Rs. 10.8 million during their time working as a sales representative for a private company.
The suspect’s arrest as part of the continuing investigation into the financial misconduct has been confirmed by the authorities. The CID is actively carrying out additional investigations to find out more information about the case.
