As per the Election Commission’s announcement, employees and students at all state universities are anticipated to be granted leave to take part in the 2024 presidential election.
The heads of state universities have received this direction from the University Grants Commission (UGC), which instructs them to make sure that students and staff can vote without interference.
The Commission’s announcement also exhorts private universities and other higher educational institutions not directly governed by the state to provide voting leave as well.
