Ahead of this next presidential election, the Election Commission has announced that cardboard vote boxes will be sent to returning officers all throughout the island. These boxes were selected to fit the larger ballot papers used this year, taking the place of the customary wooden ones.
By September 20, returning officers are scheduled to deliver the ballot boxes to voting places. The new ballot boxes, according to the Commission, are made in three distinct sizes to accommodate various polling place requirements.
The election procedure is complete, and all required instructions have been given to officials to ensure a seamless polling day. It is recommended that government employees tasked with overseeing elections make sure all arrangements are finished and show up on time at their allocated voting places.
