The Embassy of Sri Lanka in Stockholm welcomed members of the Sweden-Sri Lanka Business Council to an evening reception on August 29th, fostering collaboration and strengthening business ties between the two countries.
Kapila Fonseka, Sri Lanka’s Ambassador to Sweden, praised the Business Council, notably Secretary General Leif Ohlson, for its efforts to strengthen bilateral commercial connections. In his remarks, Ambassador Fonseka urged council members to pursue new opportunities that would benefit both economies, emphasizing the mutual respect and shared aims that serve as a solid foundation for continued cooperation. He emphasized the embassy’s commitment to promoting investment, commercial collaborations, and networking.
Guests were served a variety of exquisite Ceylon teas and light refreshments in a casual setting that encouraged meaningful conversations and the establishment of new partnerships. This reception is the first of a series of events hosted by the Sri Lankan Embassy in Stockholm this year to commemorate 75 years of diplomatic relations between the countries.
