During his visit to Colombo, India’s National Security Advisor Ajit Doval met with important leaders of Sri Lanka, including Prime Minister Dinesh Gunawardena, President Ranil Wickremesinghe, and NPP leader Anura Kumara Dissanayake. Increased economic cooperation between India and Sri Lanka was the main topic of discussion, with special emphasis on cooperation in the energy sector and regulatory changes to allow for more Indian investment.

The prime minister thanked India for continuing to support the military and public servants’ skill development and underlined how Sri Lanka’s economic policy is in line with traditional Indian customs.
