The National Building Research Organization (NBRO) has confirmed that landslide risk notifications remain in effect for seven districts across the country. In particular, red notices issued for the Kalutara and Ratnapura districts are still active.

The areas under red alert include the Bulathsinhala and Ingiriya Divisional Secretariat Divisions in the Kalutara District, as well as the Kalawana, Eheliyagoda, and Elapatha Divisional Secretariat Divisions in the Ratnapura District.

In addition to these, the NBRO has issued landslide warnings for several Divisional Secretariats within the Colombo, Galle, Kegalle, Nuwara Eliya, and Matara districts.

In response to the severe weather conditions, the Sri Lanka Navy has deployed a flood disaster relief team to the Paragoda area in Kalutara to assist residents affected by the floods. The Navy’s relief team has been actively conducting flood relief operations in the Bulathsinhala area as well, ensuring aid reaches those in need.

Authorities continue to monitor the situation closely, urging residents in affected areas to remain vigilant and take necessary precautions.
