A 32-year-old engineer from Chadoora, Gujarat, has been arrested for posting a bomb threat on social media targeting the wedding ceremony of Anant Ambani, son of Indian tycoon Mukesh Ambani, and Radhika Merchant. The threat prompted authorities to bolster security measures at the Jio World Conference Center and its surroundings.

The extravagant wedding, costing over 5,000 crore Indian rupees—equivalent to 0.5 percent of Mukesh Ambani’s total assets—was attended by numerous high-profile guests, including Hollywood and Bollywood stars and prominent politicians.

Following the bomb threat, the Mumbai Crime Branch located the suspect, leading to a swift police raid on his residence in Gujarat. He was subsequently arrested and brought to Mumbai.

The wedding festivities included a three-day pre-wedding celebration in Gujarat last March, and guests received luxurious gifts. Among the recipients of these gifts were Bollywood stars Shah Rukh Khan and Ranveer Singh, who were each given wristwatches worth 2 crore Indian rupees. Other attendees received high-end handbags, gold necklaces, and fashionable shoes.
