The Constitutional Council has given its approval for the nomination of Senior Additional Solicitor General Parinda Ranasinghe as the new Attorney General.
In a recent ceremony, Ranasinghe was sworn in as Acting Attorney General before the Chief Justice, marking the commencement of his tenure.
