The Meteorological Department reports that the rain situation in the south-western part of the island remains pending today.
Residents in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, and North-Western provinces, as well as those in Kandy, Nuwara Eliya, Galle, and Matara districts, can expect occasional rain throughout the day.
In the Uva province, and Ampara and Batticaloa districts, rain or thundershowers are anticipated in a few areas during the evening or night.
Additionally, there is a possibility of temporarily gusty winds accompanying thunderstorms.
