A 27-year-old woman from the Malwatta area of Vavuniya has been arrested for allegedly stealing 13 pieces of jewelry from devotees attending the annual festival at the Kannathitti Kali Temple in Jaffna. According to police reports, the suspect concealed the stolen items, including thali flags, jewelry, and currency notes, in her underwear. Authorities have confirmed that further investigations are ongoing.
