The Sri Lankan women’s cricket team departed for Dublin, Ireland, last night to compete in a T20 series against the Irish women’s cricket team. However, the team will be without their captain, Chamari Athapaththu, as she will be participating in the Women’s Hundred tournament.
In Athapaththu’s absence, Kaushini has been called up to join the team, and Anushka Sanjeewani has been appointed as the captain for this series.
The T20 tournament will consist of two matches, with the first match scheduled to begin on August 11. Following the T20 matches, an ODI series will commence on August 16 in Belfast.
