At the ceremony, Sri Lanka Cricket awarded the team a prize of $500,000 (over 15 crore rupees). The Sri Lankan women secured their victory in the Asia Cup T20 final with an impressive 8-wicket win over the formidable Indian team. This historic achievement marks their first-ever undefeated win in the Asia Cup Women’s T20 tournament, having previously been runners-up on five occasions.
