The Ministry of Education has announced a significant boost in the stipend for students at the National Colleges of Education, raising it to eight thousand rupees starting next month. This increase will benefit second-year students currently undergoing limited training from August, with new students receiving the enhanced stipend from September.
Earlier this year, the cabinet had approved a stipend increase of three thousand rupees, acknowledging that the previous five thousand rupees was insufficient. However, due to financial constraints, the Ministry was unable to implement this change immediately.
Now, the Ministry has successfully managed its budget to provide the much-needed increase in allowances.
