In a heartbreaking incident reported from East Middeniya, a three-year-old child named Ion Kovija tragically drowned after falling into a water tank at their residence. According to Middeniya Police, the incident occurred when the child’s mother was washing her children after dinner. While attending to the nine-year-old, she noticed the younger child near the water tank. Upon returning, she discovered that the child had fallen into the tank.
Efforts were immediately made to rescue the child, who was rushed to Middeniya Hospital for treatment. Despite the medical team’s best efforts, the child succumbed to the incident during treatment.
