A collision involving a motorcycle and the vehicle transporting Member of Parliament Nalin Bandara occurred earlier today (03) on the main road from Colombo to Kandy. The incident took place near the Kongasdeniya junction while the MP’s jeep was en route from Kandy to Colombo.
The motorcyclist sustained injuries in the collision and has been admitted to Wathupitiwala Base Hospital for treatment. Fortunately, neither the MP nor any other passengers in the vehicle suffered injuries.
Nittambuwa police are conducting further investigations into the matter.
