Minister of Education, Dr. Susil Premajayantha, announced that Sri Lanka will save approximately Rs. 7000 million in 2025, thanks to a generous donation of free school uniforms from China. In addition to 825 student monks receiving robes, 4.3 million pupils will benefit from this effort.
Two additional supplies are planned for November and December, with the first supply anticipated to arrive on November 13. All of the uniforms will be given out before to January 20, 2025, the start of the next school year.
