Collect Poll Cards at Post Offices from Sept 18

Post Master General Ruwan Sathkumara has announced that voters who have not yet gotten their poll cards can pick them up from the closest post office from September 18 to September 21. Over 80% of the poll cards had been distributed by September 14, 2024, at which point delivery was suspended.

R.M.A.L. Ratnayake, the chairman of the Election Commission, informed people that their national identity card is still the most crucial document for voting in case there are differences between the name on their poll card and their identity card. In these situations, voters can also choose to validate their identification by obtaining a certification from their neighborhood Grama Niladhari.
