The President’s Media Division stated today that MP Dr. Seetha Kumari Arambepola has been appointed as the Minister of State for Health, Women’s and Child Affairs, a new appointment made by President Ranil Wickremesinghe.
Medical practitioner Dr. Arambepola was the State Minister for Health before. She was elected to the legislature by the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) National List.
Throughout her political career, she has held the post of State Minister for Innovation, Research, Vocational Education, and Skills Development. She also held the position of Western Province Governor for a brief period of time, from December 2019 to March 2020.
