A new weekly sailing for its passenger ferry service between Kankesanthurai, Sri Lanka, and Nagapattinam, Tamil Nadu, has been announced by IndSri. The ferry will begin running on Saturdays, September 21, 2024, expanding passenger travel possibilities.
Due to fewer reservations than anticipated, the service, which had began daily operations on August 16, 2024, with the new vessel “Sivagangai,” has been trimmed to three days per week: Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays. This timetable was followed through to September 15th.
IndSri’s determination to satisfy the growing demand for cross-border travel between India and Sri Lanka is demonstrated by the decision to introduce a Saturday sailing. Several platforms are accessible for passengers to book their tickets: the official website www.sailindsri.com, the “Sail IndSri” app on the Google Play Store and App Store, or authorized travel agencies.
