Foreign Ministry Launches Online Portal for Certificate Authentication

On Monday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs opened the Online Authentication Portal for certificates of birth, marriage, and death. The goal of the new approach is to reduce public discomfort and expedite the certification process.

Foreign Minister Ali Sabry emphasized the advancements made since his appointment two years prior, pointing out that lengthy lines and nighttime waits had resulted from the demand for these services. In response, the ministry reduced public wait times by implementing online appointments via the eChanneling platform.

The voyage started with confirming paperwork from the Examinations Department, and Minister Sabry called it an important turning point. Later on, papers from the Registrar General’s Department were added to the scope. At the moment, 50–55% of documents can be certified online by the ministry.

“Our goal is to certify all documents online, ensuring a more efficient and accessible service for the public,” Minister Sabry stated.
