The Judicial Service Commission has suspended Fort Magistrate Kosala Senadheera, who previously served as the Mount Lavinia Magistrate. The suspension follows charges of illegal electricity and water supply connections to his official residence.
Justice Minister Wijeyadasa Rajapakshe recently disclosed in Parliament that prior to Magistrate Senadheera’s arrival at the Mount Lavinia Magistrate’s Court, he had unlawfully connected electricity to the official residence. This illegal connection resulted in an electrician being electrocuted.
Additionally, it has been reported that President Lawyers had previously lodged complaints with the Judicial Service Commission, accusing Senadheera of arbitrary conduct in his capacity as a magistrate.
