Sri Lankan cricket captain Chamari Athapattu has been chosen to participate in the upcoming phase of the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) Women’s Tournament 2024. The announcement came from the Barbados Royals, the reigning champions, who have included Athapaththu in their roster.
The tournament, now in its third edition, will take place in Trinidad and Tobago from August 21 to 29. The inclusion of Athapattu is expected to add significant strength to the Barbados Royals as they aim to defend their title.
