The National Building Research Organization (NBRO) has announced that the landslide warning issued for 11 regional secretariats in the Kalutara and Ratnapura districts will remain in effect until this afternoon (08) due to heavy rains in parts of the island.
The affected areas include the regional secretariat divisions of Ingiriya, Bulathsinhala, Mathugama, and Palindanuwara in the Kalutara district, as well as Ratnapura, Kalawana, Kuruvita, Kiriella, Ayagama, Alapatha, and Eheliyagoda in the Ratnapura district.
NBRO confirms that the landslide warning will stay in place until 4:00 PM today.
