The police have heightened security measures near the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) headquarters on Darley Road in Colombo.
This move follows a request by SLFP General Secretary, Mr. Dayasiri Jayasekara, who asked party members to gather at the headquarters this morning (July 5).
Sources indicate that the increased security is a precautionary measure in anticipation of potential disturbances at the location.
