Celebrating its 88th anniversary, the Dehiwala National Zoo announces free entry for children under 12 years old today. Established on July 3, 1936, and spanning 62 acres, the zoo was officially taken over by the government as a public institution. The zoo boasts a diverse collection of over 220 local and international animal species on display.
