The United States Embassy in Colombo marked the 248th Independence Anniversary of the United States of America today, held Today (28th) at the Galle Face Hotel.
Mr. Harin Fernando, Minister of Tourism, Lands, Sports, and Youth Affairs, attended as the chief guest at the celebration presided over by US Ambassador Mrs. Julie Chung.
This year’s American Independence Day celebration underscored the lasting principles of democracy and the robust partnership between the United States and Sri Lanka.
Representatives from the diplomatic corps, business community, civil society, and media were also in attendance, reflecting Sri Lanka’s participation in the event.
