Yesterday (27th), the Sri Lanka Survey Department issued appointment letters to 52 new map technical officers in a ceremony held at the Survey Department. The event was presided over by Mr. Harin Fernando, the Minister of Tourism, Lands, Sports, and Youth Affairs.
During his address, Minister Fernando highlighted the challenges faced by the state due to the inefficiencies of some government employees. He urged the newly appointed officers, particularly the youth, to work diligently and bring about positive change to improve the system.
