The Department of Meteorology has forecast intermittent rain today (June 25) in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, and North-Western provinces, as well as in the districts of Kandy, Nuwara Eliya, Galle, and Matara.
Heavy rainfall, approximately 100 mm, is anticipated in certain areas of the Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces, and in the Kandy and Nuwara Eliya districts.
The Matale district will experience its usual rainy seasons.
Additionally, strong winds are expected across various regions. The western slopes of the central hills, the northern, north-central, and north-western provinces, and the districts of Trincomalee, Hambantota, and Monaragala are likely to see wind speeds of 40-50 km/h.
