The owner of a team that participated in the LPL player auction held yesterday (21) has been arrested by the Crime Prevention Special Investigation Unit at Bandaranaike International Airport, Katunayake. This arrest is based on suspicions of match-fixing.
It is reported that the suspect in question is a Bangladeshi national with British citizenship.
Further investigations into the incident are underway.
