Today is the official commencement of postal voting for the 2024 presidential election, which is an important step in the democratic process. 712,321 eligible postal voters will cast ballots at various sites across the nation, as per the Election Commission’s report.

Voting is open at Election Commission and District Secretariat offices as of today, September 4. On September 4 and 6, postal voting will be available to law enforcement and security professionals, including those at Senior DIG and DIG offices, Police Stations, and Special Task Force camps. Postal voting is scheduled for September 5 and 6, including locations for Tri-Forces camps and other government buildings.

If a voter is unable to cast their ballot on these primary dates, they will have another chance on September 11 and 12 at the District Election Offices, which are located in the places where they work.

Voters must provide a legitimate form of identification, such as a temporary ID provided by the Election Commission, a valid driver’s license, a valid passport, or a National Identity Card, in order to cast a ballot by mail.

24268 of the 736,589 applications that were filed for postal voting were denied; therefore, 712,321 electors are still able to vote by mail in the upcoming days.
