Indian National Security Advisor Ajit Kumar Doval arrived in Sri Lanka today and is expected to hold discussions with several key political figures, including current President Ranil Wickremesinghe and the opposition’s Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) candidate, Sajith Premadasa.

Doval had a meeting with the former high commissioner of Sri Lanka to India, Milinda Moragoda, earlier today. The newly released Pathfinder Indo-Lanka Physical connection Report, a thorough analysis outlining a comprehensive strategy to improve physical connection between India and Sri Lanka in the sectors of road, rail, power, and petroleum, was given to him by Moragoda during their meeting.

The report aims to bolster economic integration between the two countries, with a goal to increase Sri Lanka’s annual economic growth rate from 3% to 6%.
