Election Commission Clarifies Misleading Voting Information

CNFadmin

The Election Commission has addressed recent misinformation circulating through media and social media platforms, which falsely claims that voters can cast their ballots at any polling station across the island.

The Commission has confirmed that this information is incorrect. According to official election rules, voters must cast their votes at the polling station assigned to their registered constituency. Those eligible for postal voting must do so in the presence of their certifying officer.

Additionally, the Commission will send an official ballot notice to the address of each registered voter for the 2024 elections. This notice will include the voter’s name, assigned polling station, and the date and time for voting. Voting at any other location than the designated polling station is not permitted.
