Major General Rohitha Aluvihare has been appointed as the new Chief of Staff of the Sri Lanka Army, effective today (20th June). An esteemed officer of the Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment, Major General Aluvihare brings extensive experience and a distinguished service record to his new role.
Major General Aluvihare joined the Sri Lanka Army on 26th July 1988, where he underwent basic military training under number 31.
