Ex-Navy Commander Admiral Nishantha Ulugetenne, arrested by the CID in connection with a post-war disappearance, has been further remanded.
Ulugutenne, who also served as Sri Lanka’s Ambassador in Cuba, has been remanded Until 08 October by the Polgahawela Magistrate’s Court.
The CID took him into custody on 28 July over the alleged disappearance of a youth from Pothuhera, which allegedly occurred while he was serving as the Director of Naval Intelligence.
