Out of the 16,966 complaints received by the Office on Missing Persons (MOP) so far, 10,517 complaints are yet to be investigated.
Accordingly, the Cabinet of Ministers has approved the proposal presented by the Minister of Justice, and National Integration to implement a special project to complete the investigations and related duties at the end of year of 2027 and to appoint 25 sub committees comprising of 75 eligible persons including retired judges, senior administrative officers, lawyers to provide the justice to the aggrieved parties.
