Amid a backdrop of social media speculation and doubts about its financial viability earlier in the year, Nawaloka Hospitals PLC has responded not with words, but with a powerful statement of legacy and future-proofing: a grand celebration of its 40th anniversary.

Choosing to ignore the negative commentary that circulated in the recent past, the management remained focused on its long-term vision. That vision was on full display on September 18th as the pioneering private healthcare institution unveiled a special 40th-anniversary logo and a commemorative postage stamp, marking four decades of medical excellence since its establishment in 1985.

The event, attended by the hospital’s leadership, consultants, and staff, served as a robust testament to the institution’s stability and enduring commitment. The new logo, in the auspicious colours for 2026, symbolizes a refreshed brand identity focused on progress, trust, and continuity.

Chairman Dr. Jayantha Dharmadasa underscored this commitment, stating the anniversary is a “promise to continue advancing healthcare by caring, leading, and healing with feeling.” This forward-looking vision was further emphasised with plans to deeply integrate Artificial Intelligence (AI) into operations to enhance patient care and medical research.

By celebrating a landmark 40-year journey of pioneering complex procedures and “Healing with Feeling,” Nawaloka Hospitals has effectively let its legacy and ambitious plans for the future silence its critics, demonstrating that its foundation is as solid as ever.
