President Ranil Wickremesinghe has named Judge R.M. Sobhitha Rajakaruna as the Acting President of the Court of Appeal. The swearing-in ceremony took place today (August 16) at the President’s Office, with President Wickramasinghe and Secretary to the President, Mr. Saman Ekanayake, in attendance.
This temporary appointment is effective until the return of Mr. Nishanka Bandula Karunaratne, the former President of the Court of Appeal, who is currently abroad.
