At a press conference held earlier today (9) at the Ministry of Tourism, it was officially announced that Minister Harin Fernando will resign from his position.
Officials from the Ministries of Tourism, Lands, Sports, and Youth Affairs attended the press conference, where the Minister made this announcement in their presence.
The Minister noted that embracing challenges is a recurring theme in his career, and he has consistently risen to meet them when the country needed it.
He expressed his profound gratitude to all the officials, particularly the ministry secretaries, for their support and exceptional service during critical times, aiding the country’s recovery from difficult situations.
Additionally, a special press conference featuring Mr. Harin Fernando and Mr. Manusha Nanayakkara is scheduled to take place today at 1 pm at the Water’s Edge premises.
